Solar Cooker Split Peas Potato Soup Recipe

Split Pea and Potato Soup

Ingredients :

1 cup split peas
1 bouillon cube (chicken, beef, vegetable, etc.) or 1 teaspoon broth powder
1/2 cup diced potato pieces
3 cup water
Salt and pepper to taste

Direction

1) Put peas, potatoes, and bouillon in a black-painted pot.

2) Add water and close the lid.

3) Put the soup in solar oven for about 3 hours.

4) When the soup is done add salt and pepper to taste.

Tips:

The texture of soup will vary with cooking time. If you like the pea chunks in your soup then watch the soup carefully; it will be done after 1.5 or 2 hours. I like to add carrots, cauliflower too. It gives the soup a sweet taste.
